1. Our Commitment
Fineline Systems (“the Company”) is proud to design and manufacture high-quality Australian-made products. We warrant that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions and installed in accordance with our specifications and Australian Standards.
This warranty applies to products supplied for residential and commercial projects, including installations by builders, developers, and trade customers.
2. Warranty Periods

Warranty periods commence from the date of delivery to the customer.
3. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects arising from:
- Faulty materials or manufacturing processes.
- Structural failure of frames, sashes, or joints.
- Premature corrosion (when installed and maintained as per our Care & Maintenance Guide).
- Factory-applied finish deterioration (peeling, cracking, or excessive fading).
- Hardware failure under normal and intended use.
4. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear, tear, and natural weathering of surfaces.
- Glass breakage, scratching, or thermal cracking.
- Damage caused by improper installation, handling, or storage by others.
- Damage resulting from building movement, settlement, or structural distortion.
- Exposure to extreme or corrosive environments (e.g. coastal, industrial, chemical).
- Alterations, modifications, or repairs not authorised by Fineline Systems.
- Labour costs for removal, installation, or site access unless agreed in writing.
- Consequential or indirect losses (such as loss of profit, delay costs, or damages).
5. Customer Obligations
To maintain this warranty, the purchaser must ensure that:
- The product is installed in accordance with the Company’s instructions and Australian Standards (AS 2047, AS 1288, etc.).
- All installation work is performed by qualified tradespeople.
- The products are regularly maintained and cleaned as outlined in the Care & Maintenance Guide.
- Written notice of any defect is provided promptly upon discovery and within the warranty period.
Failure to follow these requirements may void the warranty.
6. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a claim under this warranty:
- Notify Fineline Systems in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect.
- Provide proof of purchase, project details, and photographs or documentation of the issue.
- Allow reasonable access for inspection and repair or replacement.

7. Remedies
Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, the Company will, at its discretion:
- Repair the defective product or component;
- Replace the product or component; or
- Provide a refund of the purchase price of the defective item.
Repaired or replaced products will carry the balance of the original warranty period only.
8. Australian Consumer Law Notice
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This Manufacturer’s Warranty is in addition to your rights under the ACL.
9. Definitions
- Residential Supply: Products installed in dwellings intended for personal use.
- Commercial Supply: Products supplied for use in multi-residential, retail, industrial, or commercial buildings, or supplied directly to trade or building professionals.
- Normal Use: Use that aligns with the intended design purpose and environmental exposure specified by Fineline Systems
